Residential Solar – The Process
Full Service Solar, that is what Rain City Solar offers. Our goal is to help you make an informed decision about going solar, and then handle every aspect of the design, installation, and commissioning so that you don’t have to worry about whether or not your system was done right.

Step One – Phone Consultation
The process begins with a phone conversation between you and one of our sales staff. We discuss your solar goals, your home, and any questions you might have about solar power in general. The goal is to help you decide if solar power makes sense for you and your home. If you decide it might, then we move on to step two.

Step Two – Site Evaluation and Design Proposal
Next we schedule a quick visit to your home. One of our staff members will do a thorough evaluation of your home and its solar potential. Our state of the art equipment makes sure we get accurate readings on your home. That data is then brought back to our office and we create an energy usage analysis, environmental impact survey, and a variety of potential designs for your home. We then return to your home to present these documents and go over your options together.

Step Three – Installation
Once you have settled on a design that works for your home and meets your solar goals we schedule the delivery of the materials and the installation. After the materials arrive it typically takes only 2-3 days for your system to be installed.

Step Four – Commissioning
The commissioning phase includes handling the final connection and agreement with your utility company, applying for all the available incentive programs, and a final quality control inspection to make sure the system is performing up to expectations.

The incentives require a good deal of paperwork which can seem daunting at first, but our trained service staff manage the entire process for you. We are happy to answer any questions you have along the way. When tax season rolls around and you have a question, just give us a call, we’re glad to help.
